CinemaBox for Android: Common issues I faced and Resolution

CinemaBox for Android is my favorite app to watch movies and TV shows from. The app is free, quick and also gets me subtitles. But there are some errors that come every now and then as well. And they did bother me for a while, but then i discovered some troubleshooting measures on the internet.

Most common errors are app crashes, missing videos or similar issues. The oldest trick in the book, rebooting the app, is still pretty useful. But there are also specific measures you can take to resolve the problem if it persists. Here are some of them.

  • If the app crashes, it could be because your device is too crowded. Free some memory by removing apps you don’t use anymore, or old files you don’t play but are still lying around in your memory.

  • There is nothing you can do if you are prompted with the message “Video not available”. This is usually the case if the video content has been deleted from the main server. Wait for a while and try again later.

  • If you get the message “Cannot Play Content”, it could be because of some restriction on the content in the app itself, for example if the server is undergoing maintenance. It could also be because you don’t have a plugin or app capable of playing that file. Download a multipurpose Video Player like MX Player or GrowBox to run your movies or TV shows.

  • It is reported that the CinemaBox app doesn’t have certain movie titles. You can request them from the developer team through their social network. If the content was launched on TV or in theaters recently and is still not available, it might just be a matter of time. Check again in some time. Most content is uploaded to the app within a week of the release, if not earlier.

These were common issues many of my acquaintances have faced along with me. CinemaBox app is pretty amazing, but it does take some patience and perseverance to get it right. Is there another problem you have faced that you’d like us to talk about? We’d love to discuss them, so leave us a comment below.
